We’re glad you stopped by to visit us.
Our mission is to be a network committed to creating and sustaining an atmosphere beneficial for kingdom relationships, transformation, and mission. There is an atmosphere we breathe which will cause us to thrive and flourish as followers of Christ, and there is an atmosphere which will cause us to wilt, wane, and fade away. We are committed to being empowered by God to create and sustain an emotional, relational, and spiritual atmosphere which will help us thrive and flourish, both individually and as congregations.
The atmosphere of life and ministry in the ARC is set within the safe boundaries of historic orthodox theology, our non-negotiables as a network (see these core values here), and an intertwining of three streams in the Christian faith: evangelical, sacramental and charismatic.
We experience life and ministry in the ARC in the context of kingdom friendships. We highly value relationship – among leaders, individual members, and congregations. To be a member in the Alliance of Renewal Churches is to be part of a band of brothers and sisters who are for each other and against anything that will cause harm, a band that will not let anyone settle for less than all God has for us.
Why the ARC? Here’s what one ARC leader says: “The ARC is where I can be my most real self. In the ARC I do not have to pretend to be someone I'm not, nor to hide something I really am. I'm not forced to choose between being evangelical, Spirit-empowered, or sacramental. In most groups I've been a part of I've had to suppress one or more of those parts of my identity. In the ARC I can be who I am without apology because that's who the ARC is, too."
A friend of the ARC—a nationally recognized author and member of another church network— writes, “I believe that the Lord is shifting the church today from cold denominationalism to organic, relational networks. We need the strength of organization in order to reach the goal of world evangelism, but we cannot sacrifice close relationships in the process because Christianity is relational. ARC is providing a healthy place to be connected as well as a means to reach the world through discipleship, church planting, leadership training and evangelism. I am honored to be a tiny part of this miracle.”
In the ARC we provide a safe place for kingdom relationships, but we do not view these relationships as an end in themselves. They are the missional context in which we are transformed more and more into the image of Jesus Christ, who was not merely moral and nice, but dangerous. Jesus was dangerous for the kingdom of God and a threat to the plans of the enemy. Being a safe place for the dangerous kind will enable us to live out the Lord’s vision for the ARC: to see churches and leaders on the radical edge with God, kicking at the darkness until it bleeds daylight so the people of God live into their destiny as world changers, and the least, the last and the lost are touched by the love of God.
Welcome to the ARC. We pray God will bless you as you look through our website. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions you might have by emailing us.
